We have recently moved into our first home. There are hundreds of little little tiny flies around our front door. Around our back door and in our backyard we have the big house flies everywhere. There are a few beetles around also. But I am so frustrated with stupid bugs! We have an exterminator come, but they don't do the outside. Does anyone know of good products to buy to get rid of them? Or any other effective methods? PLEASE HELP ME KILL THE STUPID BUGS! :)

I was out gardening today when I came across a bug that looked like it was from another planet lol.

It looked like a cross between a hornet, an ant and a roach. It was similar to a large bettle shape like a roach, but it rounded a bit like a hornet, head & legs were more ant like. It was 2-3 inches long with large vibrant reddish orange/black stripes. I couldn't tell if it had wings or not (I didn't want to get too close) but I don't think it did. I have found several of them by the wall of my house & would sure like to know what the heck they are if anybody has any wild guesses on this lol :) Thanks!

My oven is not working, hasn't been for the last couple months. Now I feel it is time to have someone come out and fix it. But what category am I looking under in the yellow pages? Just "Repair Person" or is there a certain someone I would call for this?

Thanks for any help.

I'm an amateur florist, and I've been disappointed that some of my flowers, even ones bought fresh from the market, only last a few days, despite flower food and listerine and changing water and cutting stems at an angle. Then I spray them with a chemical wilt-retardant. What am I missing?

I am renting my apartment, and I bought an under the cabinet radio for my kitchen and didn't think about it until I got home, that I'm renting and I'm not sure if I can put the holes under the cabinet!

Has anyone done this? I'm not sure if there's an easy way to fill the holes, or if there's another way I can attach the radio?

I have a master bathroom that I have to leave my bedroom to go to.

I was planning on knocking down a piece of the wall between the bathroom and the bedroom and put the room there. My mother was a realtor and suggests I not do so much renovating and remodeling because I will be moving in about 6 years and that is my first home.

Okay, fine. (maybe)

So here's my next issue.
The master bathroom is outdated. We want the bathtub to be against the wall by the window and we want a double sink. Also there is a wall between the bathtub and the toilet (the toilet is by the window) and the shower and fixtures are affixed to that wall.

I want to knock down that wall to make the bathroom bigger.
But with the shower attached, I'm not sure what to do. Is it possible to put the fixtures on the other wall?

It also needs to be retiled.

I don't want to put too much money in the house.

Some suggestions please

I have a somewhat small tv room maybe 11x11 but there's a protruding external closet by the doorway and it makes the room very difficult to deal with.

My mother used to do realty and advised I not remove the closet because I would lose a bedroom, making this a 3 bedroom house and not a 4. I'm only staying about 6 years which she describes as not long.

Right now, the tv (32 inch standard) is on a tv stand in front of the closet door and the 2 couches are on the wall facing the tv and facing the doorway.

The closet is not used and the tv blocks the door.
I also eventually plan on getting a flat screen
I was thinking of reconfiguring the closet so the door would be adjacent to the doorway.

What can I do?
I AM STUCK.

One of my candles keeps guttering out from the melted wax overflowing on the wick. The candle is only 1/3 of the way done burning, so it's still got a long life ahead (hopefully). How do I extend the wick so it will stop doing this?

Should I burn or make much with the wood?

I recently purchased a new home from which my grandma lived in. She sold it to my husband and I, and it is INFESTED with roaches. The thing is, she has had roaches for the 15 years she's been there because she never CLEANED. YUCK! She let us keep this really nice dining room set and when we took it apart to movie it because we were are getting hardwood floors, it was full of roach eggs and roaches! I want to know some suggestions on getting rid of them. I want them OUT before I move in. My cousin does pest control so he's going to fumigate, but other than that I want to try other things. Thanks for any replies!
