ok so were growing carrotts in our garden (our first time we have grown them) and my dad and i went to pick them and i think we left them growing to long or something because the roots were like growing carrotts (its hard to explain). so does anybody have any advice for next time?? thnx!!

Why do you think that you left them too long? Were the dis-formed? Carrots usually need close to a full season to mature. Try eating them and then determine the taste. Looks are not everything when it comes to growing veggies! Be aware that the carrots that you grow in your garden will not have the same taste as those that you buy at the store!

maybe the soil was too compact. they need loose soil to develop properly
