You have to use a pesticide, you can't kill them. Combat roach gel works!! I moved into a house that had roaches, I didn't know, I've never had them before, so I didn't know what to look for, anyway my friend told me to go to walmart and get Combat roach gel, so I did, I bought a tube for each room of the house, I put it in every crack and crevice I could find, I haven't seen 1 since, and it has been 2 year's now, the gel cost me $9.00 a tube, It was well worth it, because if you don't treat for them you will have millions!! They get in every appliance, electronics, clothing, food boxes, EVERYTHING AHHHHHH!!!! If you move they will move right along with you!! Bombs don't work either they don't get in the cracks where they hide and they come right back within a day, been there done that!!

Roach bombs dont seem to help much. Baiting is the best way to get rid of them.
Here is a good home recipe that may work for you, although it may take a couple months before all are dead.
Mix One teaspoon of Boric Acid With 1/4 Cup Of Brown Surgar or Cocoa And 1/4 Cup Of Flour.

Roaches:
They can be captured by putting some peanut butter into a mayonnaise sized jar and then roll a piece of paper into a funnel and tape it inside of the jar. The roaches go in but can't get back out. When it gets full, tuck the paper inside and throw the whole thing in the trash.
To keep roaches out, just keep clean.

Fire would have been my first choice too, but you could encourage rats to take up residence. Roaches don't stand a chance against a rodent infestation.
But this could also be considered "pest control".

Raid Max is the best. I used Raid Max fogger in a heavily infested house and it got ride of them, I used the spray can as a follow up around the base boards and corners. Be sure to carefully follow the manufactures instructions.

you're pretty much stuck without pest control. the only thing you can do is clean top to bottom, keep EVERY bit of food in air tight containers or the refridgerator, and never throw food away in the trash. If they have nothing to eat, they'll have to leave.

Mix equal amounts of baking soda and nutmeg, and sprinkle around the doorways, windows, rooms, even outside the home etc... as if you are marking a parameter. They will be gone shortly after. Pet and children friendly way of having them gone!!! And it really works.

You don't. They have been here longer than we have and will continue to. You either try to control them or live with them.
