Hi - I am looking online for a sewing machine but don't know what I need....I found one that has a lot of features from http://www.overstock.com/
but at the end it says it is refurbished. Is it a bad idea to buy one like that? Should I just spend a little more money and get a new one? Thanks!

For the most part "refurbished" or "reconditioned" items are just ones that can't be sold as new because there was a problem with them when they came off the assembly line and they had to be sent back through. They usually come with a new product warranty so you shouldn't have any problems.

I didn't know Overstock sold refurbished. Refurbished To make clean, bright, or fresh again; renovate. It actually means it could have come off the assembly line that way was purchased prior to and then had to be repaired. Sometimes it means one was traded in for a newer one and it was refurbished. In any case you will get the same warranty as new. So compare prices first, It might be just as cheap to buy it new..
