Are there any kind of gnats that jump rather than fly?

I have little, tiny brown bugs in my room and when I showed someone, they said it was probably gnats. Can gnats jump?

They previously had been thought to be fleas until I showed this person and they said it was gnats.

my guess is fleas,do you have indoor pets?sprinkle boric acid power under furniture in a few places [not very toxic] works in a few days

Gnats fly. I think you have fleas. They can come in with you from the lawn or pets.
