I just answered a question just like this a couple of months ago.I will tell you just like I answered the last one.It seemed that in my house we could dust one day and the next there would be the same amount of dust.Last summer I had afew A/C companies come out and look for the problem. The second one looked around and told me that the vents that blow from the return air to and thru the house were not sealed correctly. It made alot of sense and I told him to do it.What was happening was that when the air was coming thru the vents it also was creating a suction and pulling dust and insulation with it.He sealed every vent and the dust reduced 85% from what it was.I hope this helps,I lived with the problem for 8 yrs.Again I hope it helps.

I purchased a Living Air Purifier to help with my dust problems. Although it does not eliminate the dust completely, it changes the molecular structure of the dust particles and makes it much easier to clean. The dust seems to become "heavier" and does not fly around in the air (reducing the "redistribution"). It is easily swept, vacuumed or wiped up. Check out the website if you would like a more scientific explanation.

There are places where keeping out dust is very difficult indeed, such as beside dirt and gravel roads.
You might want to try an air cleaner. And check the vents and filters of your air-conditioning system.
One thing I've found helps a lot is dusting with an anti-static spray, such as Endust for Electronics.
Also, check your vacuum cleaner's filters: If those are clogged, the vacuum will blow out dust like nobody's business. This if you haven't checked already.
Good luck!

I'm glad I ran across this. I have the same problem. I live in a mobile home with floor vents, and even in my master bath which has no carpet, the amount of dust that accumulates shortly after cleaning is incredible. I like kball's answer. I'll do that myself.

we had that problem in our home and when it was time to replace the carpet we found the previous owner had used real cheap padding and it was almost broke down to a powder. you could not vacuum enough to get rid of the dust but the new pad and carpet worked.

change your filters if you have an AC unit, get and air purifier. keeping up on dust is hard, but I got rid of all my carpets for that reason, dust and everyone is allergic.
