I see this glue a lot esp. when your credit card comes in the mail and it's stuck on to a piece of paper. The glue is strong but it also doesn't rip the paper when you peel it off. TIA!

I have recently used freecycle and been given a couple of wee things for my kids. I've always just thanked the person and never offered any money. However, a friend of mine thinks I should have at least offered a pound or 2. What do y'all think?

I came home yesterday and strategically placed on the corners of every step and outlining my upstairs landing (except not in front of the door threshold) were mothballs placed about 6 inches apart. No other condo entry had this done. Is this some kind of ritual, I live in a Latin community. What the heck?

I know that plants need a certain amount of nutrition from the soil to grow, and that when growing plants indoors, the only nutrition they get is what you give them. I am trying to grow these plants completely organically, with dirt from my backyard, using nothing bought from a store except the vegetables/plants from which I took the seeds. So far I have large sprouts of morning glories and catnip, and small sprouts of tomatoes, green beans, cucumber, and green bell pepper. They seem to be doing very well with a combination of filtered tap water and mineral water, but I want to make sure they don't suddenly die out because they are getting too much or too little of something. The mineral water is bottled still (not carbonated) Italian mineral water. I have southern exposure in the window that they sit in, so sunlight doesn't seem to be a problem. Any tips for growing these through the winter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I'm thinking of replacing my old storage heaters with the Kalirel remote controlled system (http://www.calo-confort.co.uk/index.html)

They claim to be much more efficient than regular heating. I'd love to know if anyone has these installed and what they think of them. Are they worth getting?

What is the best way to remove candle wax from various types of dishes and holder (even jars) after the candle has burned down? I saw on a previous Yahoo Answers question that one might put a glass dish in the freezer for a few hours. Does this work for other types of dishes? Is there anything to be careful of?

I live in San Diego, so we're not talking about many months of cold here, but if I'm going to get rid of carpet, some subtle warming might be nice, as well as out on the patio to keep plants safe (got down to 27 last night!!) and maybe once in awhile when guests are over. Less than 1000 square feet that I'd like to warm. Anybody have any ideas??
