I have one and have found what I think is the top of a very large UFO, I think it is occupied, I hear music coming out from it, it could be one of those old fallout shelters though. Truth is I haven't used it much, someday I will, I just watched a TV program where people hunt meteorites, big bucks!

Have owned several detectors and currently have two. As far as finding valuables, I haven't found the retirement fund or the pot of gold yet. You have to remember, the fun is not the find, it's the hunt. I don't use it enough (never enough free time), never have....but hopefully that's about to change. Hoping to take several detecting trips this year, including Death Valley and the surrounding old mining camps & ghost towns along the CA/NV borders. Just for the record, best detector in my opinion is a Whites. Love my XLT.

I found a gold chain at the beach a couple of years ago. Turned out to be a fake though.
