Smoke alarm connected to mains power with battery back up. Batteries ok. Only went off the once and everything appears normal now. Hasn't beeped since.

Smoke alarms will go off when the battery is dying...usually you'll get a beep every minute or so.

The other thing that smoke alarms detect is a sudden change in the temperature, i.e., if it shoots up from 70 to 85 in a short period of time will cause an alarm...

How old is the alarm? The avg life of a smoke alarm is 10-12 years.

one night our alarm went off too and we all got up in a panic and there was no smoke, nothing. Turned out to be what most people said,, faulty battery.

I even have in no way hear of baking a steak yet what i'd do is saute the meats first this would help a number of the fat come off the Sir Francis Bacon. They positioned an aluminum foil tent over the baking dish this would help shop any further fat dripping from falling to the backside of your oven. for further risk-free practices and basic freshen up you will desire to positioned your cookie sheet below your glass baking dish.

Is there a chance you experienced a power surge? Or maybe there was a brief puff of dust that 'looked' like smoke to the sensor?
