we have a bathroom on the second floor that has a domed plexiglas sky lite every time some one takes a shower on a humid day the sky lite will form beads of condensation on the inside. The condensation forms and follows the plexiglas down to the drywall and causes the drywall tape to peel off all of the inside corners, there is no trim between the drywall and the skylite. Please help me find a way to eliminate this problem. The sky lite does not leak from the outside it is only the condensation that is causing our dilema. The ceiling in the bathroom is a cathedral ceiling.

ok there is an old rumor in my family about my great grandfathers burring almost a 100k back in the 40's after the great depression. My father and i both have a very good idea of where it is buried at and were wondering, what are the chances the money is still good. I know if the serial numbers are still visible then it can be spent. The money was wrapped in newspaper, and then cloth, placed in mason jars, and then placed in side a clay box type thing. It was the placed under the ground about 18 inches and a 3 inch layer os concrete was placed on top. How long will the money stay in okay condition, its been under the ground for almost 65 years?

Sometimes it does this, sometimes it doesn't. But it does it enough so that it's going around that we are all going to have to pitch in to buy a new one. I can't afford that, and I can't go job searching right now so I hoping this can be fixed.

You put in a time and press start. The microwave works but then shuts off after about 8 or 10 seconds. It took 6 tries to get my oatmeal cooked this morning. What would cause a microwave to shut off after about 8 or 10 seconds repeatedly? But not always?

I heard a story from a guy who tried and tried to get this plug out, at the trap. It had a square block as usual on the top for putting a pipe wrench. He called a plumber. When the plumber came, the homeowner left the room for no more than a minute and the guy had it off, with no noise or banging. When asked how he did it, he said "trade secret". Anybody know? I have to get my plug off too.

Don't get me wrong, eventually I will call a repairman, but would like to be prepared, you see, I am currently living in Mexico and here they treat women like were are too dense to understand anything, so they give you some garbled explanation to hike the bill, something that does not happen when it is a male that requests the service.

I am about to embark on an extension. At the end of this project I will have (downstairs) sitting room, large living / dining room, kitchen, utility room and cloakroom toilet. (upstairs) I will have 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with bath and showers fitted.

Looking for the best system for this house. Obviously, require instant hot water but realise that combi boiler (condensing obviously) will be enough to supply hot water to taps downstairs etc, so any solutions out there I am willing to listen. Sensible answers only please (for once)

Just moved into a new rental. The toilet flushes completely (i.e. makes the nice gargling sound at the end of the flush, with almost all of the water out of it) only once every few flushes. The rest of the time it will only partially flush and leave tp and extra water in the bowl. If I then try to use a plunger only some of the time does it seem like I am able to dislodge it. The rest of the time plunging it decreases the water level, and then after the resevoir fills it then will completely flush the next time I depress the lever. Holding the lever down until the water line has completely dropped does not seem to massively help. Any advise other than replacing the toilet?

Is it risky to install garage door opening pad near the door ? I have seen some but I am not sure if it is OK to do that. Have you heard any cases where someone broke in the house because they cracked the code.

Sounds like a strange question, I know.

I have a smaller 120v incandescent light bulb that has sentimental value and it has burned out. Is there any little specialty companies that can do such a repair. I know there is a vacuum inside the bulb, and I have also considered an LED retrofit. But ideally I would like it repaired. Can it be done?
