If you can see mold spots, there is a much deeper problem. You can get products to cover the spots and even make them disappear, but there is serious problem. You need to get it investigated. Very serious health issues, especially with children around.

I have used Pine-Sol mixed with water. Follow the directions on the bottle.
If you continue to get mold spots, you need to find out where the moisture is coming from. It might be that you need to run a dehumidifier if the moisture is naturally occurring.

Wash carefully with a weak solution of bleach.
But this is caused by bad heating and ventilating.
Where there are cold damp areas you will get mould.

FIRST OF ALL TRY TO FIND THE SOURCE AND PUT IT RIGHT, MORE VENTILATION NORMALLY WORKS WELL. AS FOR THE STAINS IT LEAVES ON YOUR PAINTWORK ,IF YOU WIPE IT OVER WITH A DAMP CLOTHE THEN TWO COATS OF WHITE UNDERCOAT IT HAS TO BE OIL BASED, THAT WILL STOP THE OLD STAINS BLEEDING THROUGH WHEN YOU RE-DECORATE, I HAVE BEEN DOING IT THIS WAY FOR YEARS IT WORKS WELL, BUT YOU MUST FIND WHAT CAUSED THEM AND RECTIFY THAT FIRST.GOOD LUCK

dry the damp cold walls out, and use sodium Hypoclorate bleach (have to get it from chemists) water forms on cold surface, so I would fix the damp problem, or move!
