It's possible that the drain screen is dirty or partially clogged so crumbs are staying in your dishwasher. Open the dishwasher, pull the racks forward and take a look towards the back/bottom. If the screen is dirty, you can clean it. Also, you can buy a citric acid treatment to run through your dishwasher which will also help clean it. It's usually right by the dishwasher soap. It's just a small plastic container that you place in the silverwear basket (upside down) and run the normal cycle without any dishes. That should help.

I use to use Cascade and found that did not leave a film on my glassware but I don't have a dishwasher in my Motor Home so I don't have that concern. Could be your water. How long have you had the problem? Maybe the dishwasher is getting old and needs to be replaced. The lines going to the dishwasher could be full of hard water deposits. How does the water look coming out of the faucet? Are you on well water? You might need a water softener system installed. Lots to consider really.

If you get down and look at the inside top of your dishwasher, you should see it has a curved topor odd design in the middle. This area is designed to spray the water over the top of the dishes in the top rack. If you load your dishwasher and get anything over the center of unit, either bottom or top rack, the dishes won't get rinsed properly. Be sure to keep this area clear of any dishes and it should rinse fine. The same thing happens to us when this area gets blocked. Also, try to keep glasses or items that have a bottom that can catch stuff, tilted in the rack so the water can run off freely.

Sounds like a clogged strainer at the bottom of the unit. You may be able to see it. It could also be the soap if you are using powder. If the water temperature is not high enough, the soap will not dissolve properly and leave pieces behind on the dishes. Or worse, scratch them from abrasion.

Do you rinse your dishes before you put them in? The other thing poor 1/4 cup of ammonia in the dispencer and all over works better than jet dry.
