Why aren't U cleaning the windows yourself?
If U R not living in a high rise building, can open the windows and can reach the outside of the glass panes, you should be able to clean them yourself.
Here is an inexpensive recipe for Window cleaning solution:
3 Tablespoons of Ammonia
1 Tablespoon of white vinegar
+ water to fill up you spray bottle (re-using an old window cleaner spray bottle)
...spray away and wipe

Are you pleased with what he does already? If you haggle with him he may not do your windows a well as he has. You are the boss - you decide what it is worth - if you don't thnk it is worth £10 then just say you don't want him any more - he will soon get the idea. Having said that - I do my own because I am too tight to pay the £7.50 that the neighbours are paying - buy one of the long handled cleaners - they reach the upstairs windows and do the job just as well .

He has probably been undercharging for some time and is now struggling to pay his overheads and make a profit.
Ecerybody is entitled to make a living. If he is good at his job you don't want to lose him.
If it is too much try monthly, i'm sure that is what most people do anyway.

Depends how many windows you have, at the end of the day it's his perogotive to increase his prices if he wants to, you either pay him or clean them yourselves!
When it's broken down it's only £2.50 a week, is that really too much?

I live in a three storey house and the cleaner wanted £12.50 per month.
I clean my own windows about four times a year and although it's a bit tricky I think how much I'm saving.

Pay it or do them yourself - they are the only options you have. Personally I think £10 is worth it to not have to wash windows in the freezing cold xx

$14 to $20 sound kinda steep per month price/ not that bad? ask why? is more time? cost of materials? does he use your water? ask for answers why? price is determined by cost/ so ask nim out right why the increase? labor costs not a factor! maybe travel costs/ gas is going up! all over.. costs more to get to you maybe parking costs? too,. a factor too. ask why get answers before looking elsewhere for service, he allready knows property, and you probably trust him! how many windows? how many floors in america they charge per price like $90.00 and up per..floor? not window count...per month...

God cleans mine. That's a big increase....tell him it's too much and you will find another window cleaner and then maybe he will be only too glad of the seven quid!

he has every right to increase his price but that doesn't mean you have to use him if people refuse to pay that amount he will soon drop is price back down or go out of business

If he gets to your property in a vehicle, then this has to take in to account the increase in fuel prices. If you don't agree with it, don't get them done it's his business & he can charge what he likes.
