Hi , I always have this problem of our airconditoner's surface icing. It has been repaired twice already this month and I'm planning on getting a new one. How do I prevent icing from happening. Usually I'd set the temperature on 7 (range is 1-10) for about 8 hours a night.

We're having a problem with the bathroom plumbing. For the past few days, anytime we flushed the toilet a gurgling noise would come from the sink. Tonight we're having a hard time getting the toilet to flush at all. We've plunged and plunged and have gotten the water to go down once, but every time we flush it just fills to the brim and plunging is helping less and less each time. The most recent discovery was that there is now water standing in the bathtub and no one has had a shower since about 9pm (Central). We don't know if we're connected to the city sewers or if we have a septic tank, either, so that kinda limits my ideas. We NEED HELP! PLEASE!

How do I handle my contractor when our project has doubled in price, lasted months longer than contracted, work has not been completed, other areas damaged by his workers, materials that "mysteriously" disappeared, and he is threatening me with a mechanics lien - if I don't pay him for work not completed? Help!

Bought lawnmower new 2 years ago. I do the oil change when necessary and spark plug is good. No matter what throttle setting. It just seem like it wants to turn off but then revs back up to normal then wants to shut down and then the motor revs back to normal constantly. Seems like every second.

Could it be the blade. It was a little worn so I sharpened it but it still does the same thing. I opened up the carb already and cleaned everything out but no luck with it so far.

I have an overflow that is constantly running water on my well. It wasn't a real problem in the warm weather but now it's freezing and I'm not sure if it's supposed to do this or not. I wouldn't think that it is supposed to constantly run water, is it?
Thank you!

I have limited space in a relatively small San Francisco apartment. I am working with my landlord on installing some sort of heating system, as my apartment is basically a converted garage. I was thinking of asking her to install a couple of baseboard heaters, but due to the limited wall space, I would really like to mount them vertically.

Am I able to mount the typical Home Depot-type wall heater vertically? Or, does somebody have an economical alternative to this problem?

Thanks!!

I had a Comcast guy come to my house to add cable to one of my rooms. The idiot, after cursing at my dog and being an all-around jack***, ended up falling through my porch overhang, making three huge holes in the overhang. The guy's manager came out and told me that it wasn't that hard to fix and that he would have a guy come out and fix for free it if I didn't turn it in to their insurance. I was pissed off and just wanted them away from me, so I agreed. That was in June, and it still hasn't been fixed. I don't want to talk to Comcast, because I don't think I'll ever get through to anyone who could help me, so is there someone else I can talk to or turn it in to so someone will come out and fix my porch? All of my experiences with Comcast have been atrocious, so I'm really trying to go above them to get something done. (I would change cable companies, but it's not my house). Any and all help would be appreciated. Happy holidays!

I have an emergency lighting unit on each floor of my building. The problem is that the boxes have no exit sign. Can I remove the cover and replace it with an exit sign? Would it fit? Are the boxes and signs standard sizes? If so I would buy the signs at home depot and have an electrician install them.
