I have an overflow that is constantly running water on my well. It wasn't a real problem in the warm weather but now it's freezing and I'm not sure if it's supposed to do this or not. I wouldn't think that it is supposed to constantly run water, is it?
Thank you!

Where we live there are more then several artisan wells the flow all the time. Forty below zero and they're flowing, the owners have to vent them outside the house or get a flood, winter or summer.

Some return systems keep running to prevent the pipes from freezing. If you are concerned, call a well company and have them check your switch, most run on pressure demand. You might have a leak elsewhere that's why the pump keeps running.

If you mean WALL change the washer in the ballcock valve or bend the ballcock arm down over but be careful you may snap it.If you do mean WELL, why do you have an overflow?
