The control panel works(clock, timer, display, etc), but the Bake or Broil doesn't work anymore. The stove top works just fine, all 4 burners work. Does anyone know what I need to do for this?

Call the Maytag man, He was last seen at the teddy bear factory. It may just be a loose wire. You can get a volt meter and check all the circuits.

Pull out whatever drawer is at the bottom of the range and set the selector knob to bake, then turn up the temp. knob to 350 and look into the opening under the oven floor. If you don't see a glowing element near the rear, it's broken. Actually even if it does glo, it's most likely cracked, that would make it have a really bright spot right at the crack in the ceramic element. This element, when heated to it's proper temp, allows a certain voltage to pass thru to the oven safety gas valve, located at the rear of the lower cavity. When the valve receives this voltage it opens and allows gas to flow to the burner to light your oven, or broiler, whichever. If it's broken or cracked the proper voltage can't get through. Call your local appliance parts distributor and tell them you need an oven igniter for your range, give them the model # and they will find the right igniter for your unit. They usually cost about $60 and aren't terribly hard to replace if you're moderately handy and have a few tools.
