Use a circular saw with a fine plywood or laminate blade. Put masking tape on the line you want to cut and move the saw very slowly. You can try to score and snap it, but it usually doesn't work that great.

Cut the board from the back side with a circular saw. Clamp a guide, for the bed of the saw to run against, to the board if you don't feel you can cut a straight line.
