Two holes were drilled for an alarm system that we took out, and they're about the size of half dollars. The other hole is about the size of a light switch plate. How do I fix them easily?

I would like to start grinding knives to earn a bit extra money. Being a former abattior worker I have experience in it but don't know whether I can adapt a standard 205mm Bench Grinder to do a good job. The wheel we used at work ran backwards and was approximately 400mm diam. Anyone able to help?

I had a house fire, I was told by the fireman that it started where the A.C was plugged in at. There was nothing else plugged into this outlet. So I was wondering what might of caused it. Then i started to think it was because the A.C was installed in a wall that was venting the A.C into a enclosed garage. The day the fire started it was about 110 degrees outside. Is that inproper installation? Could I be compensated for loss'?

I had a guy who would tune it up and get in running every fall but he died. If I have to put it in the shop I may as well buy a new one. I'm thinking it's the carburetor because it will start and run great for a minute or two, then slowly die. I've done this before on other motors-should i remove the carb and clean it, run seafoam or something in the gas, or what?

Why is it necessary for State Farm Insurance to deny claims and try to acuse the client of filing false claims? Is it because the don't know any different, or they are dishonest rats from hell or they are the Most Stupid Company in the history of the wrold?
I think they are dishonest rats and need to be put out of business. They know who I am and I will tell everyone how dishonest they are till the day I die...HEY, State Farm " Slander This"

I have a motor that runs on 2 AA batteries. I want to get rid of these batteries and power this motor with Solar power. How many panels would I need at what ratings? I see panels with ratings like X Watts Y Volts Z milliAmps but I'm unable to decide which one to pick. They are also expensive, so I figured I could ask around before I buy.

The only dealer in the area wants $95 to look at it, before letting me know if it can be repaired or not. HeatNGlo told me that the rust may make the firebox unsafe. The rust must have appeared over the summer, since I didn't notice it last year. The fireplace was installed eight years ago (Western PA).

I plan on selling the house in five years. I need to decide whether to try to get the rusty firebox fixed somehow, or whether to just look into replacing the fireplace completely. Any suggestions? Any recommendations on another brand of direct vent fireplace, if the rust can't be repaired reasonably?

All of my circuit breakers just tripped. This happened right after the lights brightened (for a split second) and everything else shut down.

The only thing that is really going is the washing machine, refrigerator, air conditioner, laptop, and tv (flat panel). I have some lights on.

I reset all the breakers and I noticed all the light bulbs have "popped" out. Which sucks because they're halogen and those curly type energy saving bulbs and those are expensive.

I checked everything else and it works fine.
Is the utility company responsible for the light bulb damage?

My apartment is 4 months old so there is no bad wiring. I asked my neighbors downstairs and they noticed some strange power malfunctions at the same time.

It's similar to the red pipe with white turny thing at it's top, in the photo (link below).

Problem being, when I turn the white connection thingy, the red pipe just begins to twist with it and then gets to a stage where it won't turn anymore.

Got a new washing machine coming tomorrow but conditions are that the old one has to be disconnected... which I'm having problems with.

Thanks.

After the thermostat calls for heat, the igniter glows red, all of the burners starts and the flame looks good. However, when the blower starts, two burners are ok and two other burners will not stay on, they go on and off. I can see the "flame" of the bad burners dose not go up but tries to travel to the two good chambers. I have cleaned the burners and crossover. I suspect that the opening above the two bad burners is blocked, or somthing wrong with the blower (only after the blower starts, the two burners become bad).

My question is: what is wrong and how can I cure it?

To my understanding that a commercial circuit breaker has 20 amp load or approx 2200w load. I have a circuit breaker that is shared both 110V light fixtures and 12v light fixtures

One (1) flourescent fixture with 4 x 32w bulbs = 128w
One (1) 110v tracklight with 3 x 50w halogen bulbs = 150w
Three (3) 12v tracklight with 4 x 20w halogen bulbs = 240w

Total watt is 518w which is below the wattage limit.

But by the equation Watt / Volt = Amp,
The total AMP load for the three 12v tracklights with 12 halogen bulbs: 12 * (20w / 12v) = 20 amp

I know there is something wrong here that does not add up. Please help. I am planning to add one more 110v tracklight fixture with 3 x 50w halogen bulbs if it is possible.

thanks

I've seen a few places online (ebay and a couple other stores) and even found out that Xacto makes a jeweler's saw, but I've checked out local hardware and arts stores with no luck. I'd prefer to find one locally rather than order it online, but I'm wondering if there's any other choice.
