The humidifier does not get any water. The copper waterline was turned on Sunday, 11/11/ 07 but the water does not flow into the humidifier. A new pad was installed in February '07. anyone have any ideas??

It sounds like the valve on the bottom of the humidifier is not opening, make sure the control is set properly and that it is getting power. you should be able to run power straight from a 24v transformer to the two wires on the valve and it should open and allow water to flow.

If you are supplying water to it with a valve that uses a clamp with a piercing needle, the opening may be clogged. These valves make a very small hole and it can become clogged very easily.

in case you are able to examine a wiring schematic ? the place the stat call for warmth or cooling a relay would be activated . Their you connect the potential for the humidifier . make confident it particularly is an analogous voltage .

check for clogged waterline or bad float valve
