I've seen a few places online (ebay and a couple other stores) and even found out that Xacto makes a jeweler's saw, but I've checked out local hardware and arts stores with no luck. I'd prefer to find one locally rather than order it online, but I'm wondering if there's any other choice.

Possibly at Hobby Lobby or a lapidary store, sometimes they carry them Or just go to www.riogrande.com, they carry everything you will ever need for making jewelry and whole lot of stuff you didn't know you wanted until you saw their catalog.

If you have a hobby shop that deals with model railroad supplies, you may find one there. They are great for cutting long sections of flexible track down to needed size.

Second bet would be to see if X-acto has a "find a retailer near you" link on their website to help find a brick & morter near you.

Best of luck!

Your local hobby shop should have them.
