Normally, in tile to tile (inside or outside) corners or where a bullnose tile ends the tile on drywall, it is all grouted. You would caulk an inside corner that ends meets with a material other than tile since you won't be able to get the grout to stick, fill and finish properly.

Hope this is what you needed.

Please take a look at this site before you silicone your wall/floor area of yourshower project.
Grouting is waterproof if done properly and also permanent. Silicone has to be re-done and because of that leaking can occur damaging the underlying structure which is generally wood. Mold mildew problems occur. We have done several home tile/marble projects, and now are just finishing up the Marble shower, purchased a shower pan for the floor part, and marbled 3 walls to the ceiling, and grouted everything NO silicone period. Also, used Cement board behind the marble for waterproofing. It wont leak unless an earthquake shakes it apart.

Grout and wood don't generally get along all that well. Wood likes to expand. Grout does not. So sillicon between wood and tile is normally the solution....Corners can sometimes be made easier with silicon... I'm assuming you have a fair amount of expierince if you are Grouting your own tile... Good luck hope this helps.

You should use a mold/mildew-resistant caulk the the intersection of two planes (in your case, wall & floor). The same is true for the inside corner where the two walls meet.

As others have said, you need something that will remain flexible and allow for expansion/contraction.
