I bought a replacement blade, but can you tell me how to put the new one on? Is it difficult? What tools do I need?

I would like to pick your brains about some chairs I have in my classroom at the high school where I work. The chairs are rolling office chairs and the floor is linoleum.

The wheels can be removed, but, without the wheels, the chair is not usable to sit on because the pole in the center of the chair base comes down farther than where the wheels are attached.

There is no money in the budget for new chairs (there are 33 of them), rugs or cushions under the chairs, or to carpet the room.

The wheels are made of plastic. There is a small metal axle between the two sides of a wheel leaving space between them. The top half (but not the sides) of the wheel unit is covered by a plastic outer shell.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thank you!

I have a boiler that runs my hot water and central heating. Do I need to have my emersion heater on all the time (it just has an on off switch in the cupboard) as my HW only comes from the boiler twice a day on my current setting.
Also, I have the thermostat on my storage tank set at 45 deg. Does this only control the emersion temp. And does this mean that if I have the emersion heater on all the time, it will just regulate the temperature to 45 deg regardless of the new hotwater coming in twice a day from the boiler.

I've installed a varispeed shower pump inthe airing cupboard below the hot tank. I've run the cold from the storage tank in 22mm pipe, the hot from the hot tank in 22mm also. When I open the shower mixer the pump comes on but I only get hot water, then the thermostatic valve closes to regulate the temp, and I get nothing. I've run the discharges in 15mm.

The hot flow energises the flow switch on the hot side, but does it also need a flow on the cold site to energise the cold side switch? Are the hot and cold pumps separate within the casing? I think the problem is that I've run the cold supply from the storage tank in the attic, down to the airing cupboard, but then back up to the attic again to tie-in to the old shower pipe to the bathroom, effectively reducing the head. Previously it was ok because the pipe came straight from the cold tank to the shower, travelling in the attic. Now I think I've reduced head by going back up to the attic to tie in to this line. Any ideas?

We have an old table from the 50s or 70s and the legs are rusty. I would love to find someone in Chicago who can re-chrome them or know how to clean them up.

I'm doing a bath remodel and was wondering if it was acceptable to bury these fittings? They will be buried in sand and covered with concrete.

Don't ya hate it when people post questions on Y/A looking for help fixing something, but leave it so vague that nobody can possibly answer them?
I saw one earlier: How do I line up power steering belt?
ON WHAT? A car, a tractor? How is is misalligned? WHAT!
I like to help people figure things out, but I'm not a mind reader!
Anybody else feel this way, or is it just me?

will have an effect on the performance of a refrigerator. I work in an office. Everyone on our floor shares a refrigerator. People bring all their stuff in in plastic grocery bags and stuff it in the fridge and it drives me nuts!!!!!! I once heard that this can cause the refrigerator's thermostat to malfunction. Just wondered if this was a fact and if you know of anywhere I could find facts about this that i could pass on?
I mean personally, I don't see why they can't just take the stuff outta the bag?
