I have an AristonAHIF35.E built in grill and oven. The grill is still working, but when I turn the oven on, the light comes on and the fan works but it doesn't heat up. Any ideas what part may need replacing??

Turn all the electricity off. Take the shelves out of the oven and you should be able to see where a panel unscrews at the back of the oven.

Remove that and you should see a 'ring' element about 10-12 inches in diameter, held in place by screws. Undo the screws, and pull it forwards. You should then see where the wires connect to the element. Pull them off, and get an exact replacement for the element. (around 20-30 quid).

Fit new element, reversing the instructions.

There is usually a fuse somewhere on big appliances like this. Have a look at the user manual, in the troubleshooting section, or try calling the manufacturer, if they have a technical support department. Good luck! Hey, if there is a fuse, they usually hide it away in an easy-to-get-to location, because most of the people who service this stuff are not too bright, so they keep it simple.

your coil element has gone, cost to replace around £35-£40, if you want to do it yourself, or get an engineer out to repair it. If you decide to repair it yourself make sure the power is turned off before you attempt any repairs
