I'm doing a bath remodel and was wondering if it was acceptable to bury these fittings? They will be buried in sand and covered with concrete.

You shouldn't put any type connection such as these under a slab. I would find an alternative method of piping, without any fittings, in a sleeve, so it could be replaced, if it ever failed. Anything man made, will fail, it's just a matter of when. Good luck!

I would say yes, I would however get some plastic sleeve and put it over it before burying it in the ground. Pex is rated for underground applications but I'm not sure of the sharks. The sleeve I am talking about usually comes in red or blue in a roll and its flat like the stuff the use to run the pool water to the street when they drain your pool and you can buy it by the foot also. they have it at HD and Lws in the plumbing section. I guess you wouldn't need to use this sleeve but I would cover the connection with a material that will ensure the elements do not get to it. as long as it is covered I would think it would be ok those things hold very will once they are in they are IN... I recently re-plumed my whole house and used pex but bought the expander tool. for the amount of connections I had the sharks would have taken a huge bit out of the budget they can be costly..

Most codes do not allow any type compression fittings to be used underground or even in areas where they cannot be seen. Is it worth having a failure later and having to dig the concrete and line back up? A flare fitting would be better.

I highly recommend shark bites, thet're the cats a**, but as far as burying them in concrete, I'm not so sure.
