try your city or county offices. Septic tanks and drain fields are often marked on the land title.
Otherwise call a septic pumping company, they may be able to locate it , or a plumber.
The grass may be growing better over the leachfield .

The septic tank can be in either yard. Look around the house foundation outside. You should find a cap (clean-out) and the tank should be within 10 feet of it. (straight out from the house)

If no one in your area can provide info, look around the outside of your home. You will usually find a clean-out cover that leads to the septic tank. Covers are normally within a foot of the house.

The contractor who installed it should have a rough drawing of the septic tank and septic field in relation to the home. Your local health department my also have something on file, being they usually have to approve it.

You may or may not have a 4" observation pipe sticking up out of the ground. I have taken a piece of rebar and probed the ground to feel for the lid if you have a general idea also. If all fails call your local "honey dipper" for service and im sure they can help you.

depends on the age of the house. You may be able to call your health dept and they can tell you. If you have baths and utility on the same side of the house it should be straight out from there. It could be anywhere from 9' to where ever. Hope this is a bit of help.

You'll probably have to have a surveyer come out and check on this for you. You should also be able to go to your city and get that kind of info because the prevoius owner would ahve to get a permit to have it installed. They would have that kind of info on record.
