The problem is not the washing machine. The problem is the drain. You need to get the drain cleaned. You can do this yourself by renting a snake from Home Depot or Lowes or some tool rental place. You will need to run this down the drain toward the main sewer line. If you reach an obstacle you can't get through you may have a root problem and need to cut through the roots with a spinning end on the snake for cutting through roots. If you call a plumber it will probably cost around $150.

There could be a few things wrong here. Poor drainage after the floor drain...maybe a semi-clogged pipe, etc. if you have a septic system, it may be backed up. For that you may have to call a professional.

Your drain in your floor may have a bad setup. If it does not have a U joint under it, this could be the cause. Also this may cause sewer gas to discharge into your home which is very harmful.

Personally, unless I knew the exact setup of your house, I could not tell you what exactly is going wrong. I would call a plumber for help on this one.

If you have not alredy done so, turn the washer off, We had that problem when we tried to run the dishwashe, take a shower and the washing machine. It ended up being a tree root that was blocking the central drain pipe. It cen be taken care of easily but needs someone who can snake that far down.

You may have a clogged outlet hose, or the drain pump has gone bad. If you are not sure how to fix it yourself then I suggest you check to see if the warranty is still good, or call a professional, it may cost an arm and a leg but it is cheaper then a new washer.
To fix it yourself you have to remove the housing, find the outlet hose and follow it to the pump, check the pump by turning on the rinse cycle and letting it fill to the point of over flowing, if the pump is working then it is the outlet hose, disconnect that from your washer check to see where it is clogged and remove it. Of course it could also be that the hose is not connected at all and water is poring out from the unit directly, so I suggest you check all three.

Run a snake through the sewer drain. You may have to call a plumber. It's that time of year when tree roots grow into the drain lines.

The drain is the problem. Run a "snake" down the pipe and get rid of the blockage

It's the drain that's cloged from all the lint from the clothes. You might want to buy a hand snake and clean out the pipe. Always good to have a hand snake around, and it's not roots cause roots usally grow in the main lines that's under ground not from pipes that are above ground.....and that pipe is above ground......

Your question is confusing. Is there water
backing up in your floor drain when you use
the washer? If that is it, the problem is a
clog in the main and it makes the washer
overflow.
