Do you know if this is a good deal? or perhaps you know where I can purchase it for a cheaper price? May be a used one?

We have just finished stripping old wallpaper off of the walls in a bathroom. The walls are not completely smooth. What should we use to prep them and smooth out the surface before priming (with a good primer) and painting? Any advice would be appreciated.

I'm in a flat and it seems that whenever I or my neighbour puts hot water down the drain my drain seems to click incessantly for ages. It's linked somehow to the pipes but I can't seem to make it better. Any thoughts?

Can you give me practical tips on selecting and dealing with contractors: carpenters, plumbers, electricians, etc.? This is for house renovations, not new construction.

I'm shopping online for an inexpensive table saw. Some of them say, "dado capacity 1/2 inch." Others don't mention a dado blade, but they usually say something like, "arbor size 5/8 inch." If it has an arbor (blade opening?) size listed, does that mean that I will be able to put a dado blade in it?

How would I access the belts and or drum rollers? It seems taking off the front panel would be the best way, but not sure? I looked in the back but there doesn't seem to be a back panel, it seems to be one piece from the right side to the back to the left side?

Hello, My dryer makes loud squeaking noises when the barrel is rotating. I've never had a service done on it.

I recall last time I used it it was fine for 2 hours or so and then I though overheated... timing was right so I stored it in shed and forgot about it - until last couple fo days. Does nto start at all now.. have replaced sparkplug... opened it up and seen nothing out of place.

Also - what does a strimmer 'service' entail and how much is reasonable to charge?

I want to do this to stop te condensation dripping into the wood at the bottom of the window - and also it looks a bit ugly to see these black/mildew edges to the inside of the window (bearing in mind the whole window is finished in white gloss)

Apparently the toilet clogged yesterday, now most of my bedroom is a tub. My husband thinks that "airing out" the bedroom/carpet will get it to dry. I on the other hand think it will mold because when you step on the carpet it makes a slushy noise and water comes up between your toes in some parts. Other parts of the carpet are damp but you can tell water has gotten into it. Do we have to replace the carpet?

The pump is working and water is flowing thru it. The two jets are moving water around. There are no pool leaks. The vacuum line has no suction so the baracuda g3 won't clean the pool.

I am currently lodging and I want to have an aerial socket put in my room so that I can watch telly (Freeview).

I have the box and my area has Freeview. My landlord has a socket in the living room and one in the upstairs bedroom. I would like one in my bedroom.

Anyone know what sort of quotes I should be seeing? Whats reasonable?

I live in Ruislip, Middlesex.

Thanks all.

I have to change light bulbs in my CO-OP apartment every two-three weeks!!! I have even brought expensive, brand name types with only "slightly better" results..

I have lived here two years and I've replaced every single bulb @ least three times (including 10 interior flood lights @ $8 each!)
