How would I access the belts and or drum rollers? It seems taking off the front panel would be the best way, but not sure? I looked in the back but there doesn't seem to be a back panel, it seems to be one piece from the right side to the back to the left side?

Hello, My dryer makes loud squeaking noises when the barrel is rotating. I've never had a service done on it.

the older maytags are some of the best made...you lift the top up and then take off the front....could be belt or drum rollers...both are fairly easy to replace...

My Maytag is a little older, but had the same problem. The repair guy, took the front off, and replaced the belt. Runs fine now. I guess they made a good machine, back then.

If you look in the front, where the top meets the front, you will probably see clips that hold the top in place. Pry up there and then you should have access to remove the front panel.

We had the same problem and just dried the clothes. Eventually we lost heat and the timer broke. Just get it repaired professionally as we tried fixing it ourselves and voided the warenty.
We now have a dryer that works and it's GE. love it.
