you can buy a full wave rectifier from any shop that works on generators...these are small and just have four terminals to hook wires on ...2 ac connections and 2 dc connections ...very simple to hookup but you will need to bolt it on to somekind of small metal pad for heat sink...heat sink can be small 3 inch by 3 inch square with hole in the center...

you will need a diode or rectifier inline with one of the wires on the output side of the 12 volt source . you could also get a bridge rectifier or make one from 4 diode's . get a rectifier that matches the amperage of the suply
