I'm thinking to purchase Ridgid 1/3 HP 3/8 In. x 75 Ft. Electric Snake Model 84522 for $479.98
Do you know if this is a good deal? or perhaps you know where I can purchase it for a cheaper price? May be a used one?

Rigid has always been one of the best brand tool makers around, however, they are also one of the most expensive. If you're going into, or are in a business, where you would be using the power snake on a regular basis, then the question has to be whether you can free up that much money at one time for a major purchase such as this. As you've indicated that you'd be happy with a used one, it seems to me that you've almost answered your own question. I've personally seen ads for several different sizes and types of power snakes for considerably less money, so I'd look around a little more. In my area we have lots of auctions during the summer months and it's possible you may pick one up there for little of nothing.

Personally, any 3/8" snake over 15' is useless. It will turn around and tie itself up. Think about the pipe sizes. Everything inside the wall is 1-1/2" or larger. Then, it gets even larger.
