i know 20 yrs. ago it was $10,000. I know how costly the labor is jacking up the house but the room is divided and I have no idea how to decorate! LOL

A load bearing beam is part of the structure and must meet certain demands for strength. Otherwise, your house could collapse."Worth it" is something only you can decide on.
