My sisters are out in a camp... they'll be coming back in about a week or so. I want to do something nice for them, they share room, one is 9 and the other one is 14, and they are completly diferent but they both hate their room, so I want to make-over it... I know what they like and stuff, but don't know how to put it toghether, the 14 year old loves pink and flowers and girly stuff like that, and the other one is more into bright colors and sufing, scatebording, and stuff like that, how can I put that together? Or shoud I make a fake wall, I'm only 16 so please no complicated and very expensive stuff... thnks!!

Grouted ceramic tiles are above the backsplash. I don't want to damage the tiles as they are no longer available. Looking under counters, I do not see any indication that the backsplash is screwed to the current top. There seems to be adhesive between the existing countertop and the backsplash.

The ceramic tile in my shower is looking really shabby and I'd like to re-do it in subway tiles on the walls and mini hexagonal tiles on the floor. Has anyone ever re-tiled an old shower? What should I keep in mind? It is a single story house that is about 30 years old and I beleive it is all the original stuff.

My girlfriend is a teacher. She teaches Pre K. She has been trying to find a way to make the bathroom door ring everytime the kids open it. Something to do with reminding them to wash their hands. We have tried numerous things but nothing has worked.

I sell angelic figurines and would like to create a 'stairway to heaven' effect where the angels sit on the stairs. Ideally it would be a romantically sweeping balustrade staircase. Overall the dimensions would be 3 ft wide, 3 ft deep and 4 ft high. I would welcome any suggestions on how to make this a reality or where I can buy such a staircase. Many thanks.
