you can try vinegar.

that is what my husband uses to get the haze off tile after installing it. maybe just keep applying it until it disolves.
good luck.

First "step away from the husband" killing him will not clean the sink. I would call Home Depot or Lowes and ask a sales person in the building dept. Is there a 800 number on the bag of quick set? Call the company. If all this fails try to concentrate on how lovely your new designer sink your husband is going to buy you will look!! GOOD LUCK!!!

fill the sink with water. Add muriatic acid until the mortar starts to form small bubbles. leave it set a few minutes and it should wipe off. the sink will be sparkling also. Smack the boys upside the head.

My Dear,
I'm terribly sorry to have to tell this to you, but they owe you a NEW sink. Once that stuff hardens it is impossible to remove without scratching it up. So it will ruin the sinks finish.

Oh.. will people ever learn.. Thin Set... grout mix, etc are BAD for stains even though they look so harmless..The ONLY thing that I would know what to try is a rag with gasoline and try to rub it off..... next time, it would be cheaper to get a new husband and father

You have a real problem. Try using vinegar, but be careful too much acid may ruin the steal sink. Use the vinegar anf a soft scrub pad.

I don't know what a thin set is.....or what it got all over your sink. Perhaps a cleaner designed for that type of sink would work.

First of all, they should clean it themselves. You shouldn't clean their mess. What is that all about?, this is your husband and father "oh, we'll clean this set in this sink, and don't worry, my wife will clean it"

Try "goof off"

squirt it all over then use the scruffy side of a sponge.
