It must extend above the Ridge of the Roof, usually 3 feet, thats so wind will create a draft effect. If its a long way from the ridge, you might get away with a shorter top off.

Enord is correct. Nothing should be higher than it for 10 feet. It's called the 2 in 10 rule.

The actual measurement of chimney above the roof is 4m though now we can see 4.5,5,6 etc...........
