This is just a child's "splash" pool but I don't want to renew the water due to the water restrictions here (drought).

My father left a lot of items after he died and some of which are a number of plate glass windows the size of picture windows. I would like to cut some of these into triangle shapes but think that would be difficult. Suggestions?

These panes around maybe 5 by 4 feet and I'd want to cut them down to about 3 feet at the bottom to a triangle. I'm thinking a simple glass cutter would not do the job and attempting such would merely shatter the entire pane. I'm wanting to make a glass roof and glass walls for a sun room and use the materials that I have on hand.

I have a large back living room and want to make part of it into an office. Does anyone know of a website or have any tips on how to build a simple wall. I have all the 2x4's that I will be needing.I dont want a real complicated wall, just a simple wall to divide the rooms up. my floor is pier and beam. this will not be a load bearing wall. I will get the drywall and everything after I build the frame. Just need to know how to get started and if there are any good sites with tips and "how-to's" thanks for the help...

Okay I say on one of the home makeover shows how they painted the appliances to cut the cost instead of buying new ones. Does anyone know how to do this or how successful it can be?

I have found that anytime you buy a new quilt that has individual patches, they will not hold up well. Even if you pay well for it....it is a crap-shoot. It is a shame really. So I have given up on those. So who has the good ones with the best quality print and fabric and stitching that will last? Anyone know?

We'd like to replace our laminate kitchen countertop with granite tiles. I've been told that if the laminate is in good condition, the tiles can be put on right on top of the laminate (with the right prep work).

Have any of you redone your own kitchen counters? We're scared, as we're not terribly handy around the house. Any advice (other than "don't do it!")?

I am looking into having a deck built. It is 16'x12'. Ledger board w/ flashing is already installed on house. It will be your basic wood deck with a bench along one of the 12' sides. I just need a rough quote. This is for labor only! $500? $750? $1000? I live in Richmond, VA.

tighten the nuts under the cabinet at the base of the sink from underneath. All I see is these black things you can twist with your fingers if there wasn't so much putty on them. Yesterday the guys that were helping were saying I needed to use a special tool to tighten these nuts. Can anyone please be more specific as to where these nuts are and if I am supposed have all this putty under the sink? Also, when I was down there looking I bumped the hose and it started to leak so I had to turn off my cold water. I tried turning off the main water (the silver thing in the middle) and I got squirted. I haven't had any problems with this sink in the past and I have been here almost 3 years. Is this beyond me fixing this? Should I pay for a plummer??? (I really don't want to because I just had to buy a new air conditioner for $2500.00). Please feel free to email me, or send me links of step by steps. Thanks.

We have no windows in our bathroom, but we have a ventilator up in the ceiling. After the mold starting growing we kept it on 24/7 and we kept the bathroom door open, but the mold kept growing/spreading. Basically the mold is little black dot in groups. And its making the paint peel. What should I do.
