Is it OK to run my water line past the electrical ?

There should be no problem,for extra precaution put the water pipes below the wire,if you cant'do that splice another piece of wire away from the pipes and loop it above the pipes.
That is for a remote chance that a pipe will leak.

It is fine. Wires just dont all of a sudden go bad and pipes just do start leaking just because there is a wire nearby.

As long as there are no junction boxes in the wall and the wires do not touch the pipes, go for it.

yes it is a problem it should be removed from that bathroom wall before you finish your bathroom
even if its dead now it might be accidently re energized
and if u develop a leak somewhere and it get energized you could get shocked badly
so do it right and be safe might cost aliitle more but it will be worth it
