I think teeshirt pillows would be awesome, then you can buy whatever size is available at tourist places, and take home a souvenir that stays nice a lot longer.
You would sew up the sleeves and neck, then stuff it with quilting fluff, then sew up the bottom. This would be great in a kids room, a family room, or if you are a music girl like me, you can collect shirts of your fav bands and make them into pillows for seating throughout the house.
Jeans pillows would be wonderful too, this would be durable enough to patchwork them together and use for something like a bathmat (pillow without the stuffing), a dog bed (a oversized pillow), as a stadium pad (pillow with a little stuffing and maybe some foam). You could sew in the beltloops along the seam and have a hanging or carrying handle or use the loop to catch another strip of denim to tie the pillow to a chair so it doesn't shift around.
For jeans, I wonder if you could make a denim neckroll (tube) pillow, attach a jeans pocket to one end for a person's iPod or whatever...on any pillow for that matter. Maybe if the pocket was tucked in a high corner of the pillow, it would be a safe place for eyeglasses to be stored during a nap...not in the way but not out of reach.

Just take your old shirts and jeans and stuff them with cotton, it'll look like a body, but it seems fun. There are many quilt patterns that you can make a quilted pillow with your clothes that you want to cut up.
