BUT, for the fifth time, I've been let down by a builder. Suddenly putting another £5000 or so on the price, or suddenly deciding that they can't do it till.... whenever... Groundwork.. as far as I can see, its basically diging holes. I'm not being flippant here, but I have 4 strong lads, a fair bit of land to put topsoil in, a trailer to take rubble and stuff to tip 1/4 mile away, and I feel like tackling it myself, then getting in brickies and plumbers etc etc... I'm I mad? any encouraging words out there? I've been quoted £12000 just for the groundwork.. starting whren they feel like. I'm so fed up

I put in a new light fixture that took me forever. Afterward (duh), I read the packaging and it cautioned that homes built before 1985 may not have the wiring to withstand the heat of the bulb which conducts 90 degree heat. It goes on to say most homes built before 1985 are only wired for lights that emit up to 60 degrees of heat. My home was built in 1981. The wires in my attic read 600 watts. Is that enough to withstand the new light fixture? If not, besides taking it down, is there anything I can do to fix this problem and not burn the place down?

I used a razor blade to get the majority off but I'm afraid of cutting into the plastic. The container only tells you how to get it off of your body, does it work the same way on other things?

The motor will not turn over to fill the container with pressurized air. It was working fine prior to this morning. It throws the switch on the surge protector after the few seconds of humming stops. Does anyone have any ideas what the problem might be? Thanks for the advise.

We are looking for ideas on what to replace the 2 tiles (which are side by side against the wall) with. We have no extra tiles and don't know anything about the current tiles. We will probably eventually do the floor over, so we don't want to spend too much on this either. They are a medium pinky terra cotta color.

I've been told you can hook it into the 220 outlet for the clothes dryer and feed it back to the panel to provide 110 volts for selected circuits.
