You can get an interior door unlocked pretty easy. There is usually a little round hole on the outside of it, and you'll have to use something to stick in there and turn the lock mechanism. If you have a teeny tiny screw driver, (Like for repairing eye glasses) that will work, or try bending a paper clip straight and messing with it. They come new ~with a "key" most of the time, and they look like an old sardine can turner thingy;) Anything you can find to fit in the hole will usually work, you just have to have patience and jiggle around with it.
Good Luck!!

Bedroom door locks usually have a small round hole in the outside knob. Some of these can be opened with a straight piecs of stiff wire about 2-inches long by simply pushing it straight in . Others may be opened by using a flat blade screwdriver that is small enough to fit in the hole. If it is the latter type you may have to carefully twist the screwdriver until you feel it engage in a slot. then turn clockwise.

no you need a lock smith to come and cut a new key . most on here were thinking bathroom but if you need a key you need a key. even if you were to open the door from then on you would be left without the key.

You can loosen the doorstop right in front of the latch and slide a butter knife in to the bolt through the crack you made in the door stop. The bolts have a rounded end on them.

If the door swings out toward you, you can remove the hinge pins.

if its one of those locks with just a hole than just push a hairpin in it. you'll be able to feel the different moving parts inside the knob. just press on them gently until you hear it click
