room diy!!!?

i just re-did my entire room, now my friend's jealous. We are goimg to redo her room now. she has hot pink carpet- in the entire house- she's thinking greens pinks, and/or oranges

it's for a 12 year "old"! nothing that's old please

Pink Carpet how cool...... It did a psychedelic theme. I painted one wall. Hot pink, , one Orangy orange, We had a bright yellow ceiling. We also had a Purple wall and lime green. I taped off zigzags designs down the walls. We painted her name on the wall and her initals above her bed. She was 11 at the time and loved it. We also bought a black light and glow in the dark butter flies. It was fun. All of her friends though is was the coolest. We got the idea for the DYI channel and looked up some ideas online. I would recommend deep forest greens. I always liked those in carpets.

Most any carpet you use will appear to last longer if it includes some earth tone to it. You might try an earthy pumpkin-pie sort of orange, which might transition OK from the green to a beigeish pink... but those three colors really will be tough to fit together in any kind of harmonius, natural looking fashion. Good luck.

Hot pink carpet... whew, you might as well paint the walls black, stick in some red trim, and install a brass pole somewhere. I dunno. hot pink carpet sounds like a decorating nightmare.

Do nuetral colors on the wall, like tan or something, I had my room painted a color a few years ago and now I hate it. They have really cute furniture at PB Teen, but if that's too expensive, the Seventeen collection at Macy's is cute too,

Is your friend color challenged? Try fun colors or relaxing tones .
