Yes there is a company called Move America. You can go to thier website @ moveamerica.com. They charge by the linear foot. They bring u a trailer for 5 days u pack it. call them up & they send someone to pick it up. U then get there when u can & u get another 5 days to unpack. I'm moving from Michigan to Las Vegas & uhaul will charge me over $4000.00. When I looked @ move america i was quoted only $1848.00. I will be using them for sure!!!!! Think about u won't have to pay for gas & drive a huge truck!!!

Wanna do it for free?
Go to a car dealership and test drive a truck with a bed liner in it already. Be sure to put stuff down to protect it. You only have like a few hours and can only go so far. But if you seem "competent" enough to test drive alone (read: you don't dress like a bum and don't look 19) they will let you test drive the car. Also, find a car salesman that is an a** hole, because he will try to wheel and deal you so they will let you drive the car without them... if they think they will get the sale.

If you are in a college town, you should be able to find moving helpers. Rent your own truck and have them load and unload. Post your needs on Craigslist or local college newspaper or website.

Yes.. there is Ryder... also Penske.. Both of those are more expensive than U-haul.. with Penske the most expensive and I do not know why... If you have the motivation.. the time.... the initiative to do so, it is considerably less expensive to rent a u-haul
