I am about to puchase some laminate flooring and found a plce that packages pricing from $4.99 - $5.99 per square foot. But when I look online for the materials, it seems really cheap (<$2 sq ft) .

I am paying abuot $4017 total for 650 SQ FT of laminate materials and installation including underlayment and taking out the old carpet. Could I get thsi cheaper or is this a fair price?

I have a house with a front yard. The front yard is all grass and open. I want to put a metal fence ( bars ) and get rid of the grass and put a nice stamped concrete covering the whole front yard. What should be done first...the concrete with the holes for the fence or the fence first on the grass and then the paving? Which way would be more economical for me ?

I did the whole thing with track lights and grey carpeting, but everybody told me it was too gay. The waterbed didn't work out too well either. The whole back end of the trailer fell off the blocks and the front end is sticking way up. And its leaking now too.

Should I polish up the washers in the front yard. Women like washers.

I am renting a house in Valencia, California (Los Angeles County.) Our bathroom came with nasty carpet. I consider it unhygienic and ugly. I am considering paying for a new floor, even though I know the bathroom is technically not "mine."

I would like simple tile, one or two inch size, that is basic but durable. Will this cost me an arm and a leg to purchase and install? My bathroom is only 21.75 square feet.

We are looking at purchasing a home with two fireplaces, it's really outdated but I would love to keep the original work as much as possible...in the living room it's about 10foot long of just brick with a 2 foot actual fire place it's about 1.5ft tall and basically just something like a bench seat. The wall around it is covered in the same brick used for the fireplace but the rest of the wall in the room is a building brick. The bricks are huge and I need some help on what to do, I just want to paint them for now and hang drywall later but not too sure how to go about it. HELP!

Can this be done over an old wood exterior or do I have to pull every wood board off the outside of the house to do so?

Is stucco-ing expensive?

Is there anyway to add color to stucco?

Originally I was told engineered is better. More stable. Less likely to warp. Because it is superior and harder to make it is more expensive.
Today, my contractor said I should use solid wood.
So far I learned that engineered wood contains formaldihide.
Also, that one supplier won't sell engineered wood.
Would love to know if I was sold a bill of goods early on.
Alternatively, want to make sure I buy the right product.
