Im an artist...well im studying accounting but Im into art (anime etc) and and considered really good. i was supposed to study animation etc but stopped because of cost. Im thinking opening a company with a friend where we paint peoples walls at home..maybe kids rooms etc. we hare making our own site and will hae outlines and a projector ready to draw on the wall first.

Im wondering, do u paint eg. a person with normal paint? or is it wall paint?

I don't exactly understand what you are determining to be normal paint as opposed to wall paint but my experience with murals projected onto a wall is to use your regular paint. Your aren't creating a canvas so you wouldn't use oils. You are drawing and then filling in from your projected mural with the same paint you would paint any wall in your house. I have never seen it done any other way.

You will want to either use a removable base-coat which can hold your acrylics etc., or use a latex which does not have an extraordinary thickness to it- so that when the kid is 16 and is tired of kids stuff, you can paint over it.

The main reason I am answering this is that I thought years ago, that if they can do computerized cake decorating that uses jet printers in many cases to 'spray' the design straight onto the cake, then why has there not been a company that makes a printer that can paint on the wall in the same manner?
I always thought you could build your own 'mural maker' by taking a couple of steel poles and have them span the floor to the ceiling, and then have the inkjet printer climb the poles. It could be designed to move automatically to the next vertical pass and print in strips, much like wall paper. It would only take a couple of fairly knowlegable people to put this thing together. You could even get rich by building these to rent out to parents. Then you could cash in on software too.
I MIGHT be a day late and a dollar short, but I thought of this almost 20 years ago!
"I've got more ideas too, but this one you can have."
this is my slogan anymore. Sad uh'?
