I am repairing the floor in my dining/kitchen area because the previous owner begain laying it with 12" x 12" ceramic tile and didn't finish the job. It's not been grouted, and the tiles are laid out completely wrong- and with much too large of a gap between the tiles. He did manage to do one thing right - he adhered them well to the subfloor. I intend to replace with vinyl flooring, but I'm wondering - what's the easiest way to get the old ones up/out?

I'm decorating my room. It's pretty small, a rectangular shape. It has a built in wardrobe in it. I was thinking of a colour scheme of fushcia/very deep pink, turquoise and dark brown/chocolate, will this look good? I'm thinking of keeping the walls and ceiling cream and white and the floor will have laminate flooring so the shell of the room will be pretty neutral. I'm not sure whether I should paint the wardrobe doors brown or not? I'm thinking of doing it 50-40-10 (pink-turqouise-brown) so would it look nice if the wardrobe doors were block brown with pink and turquoise flowers/butterflies stenciled on them? I want a chic yet girly look to the room? Any suggestions? How should I arrange the room?

I've looked at several online lists for packing to go to a college dorm. But I don't know how how those compare with moving to an apartment. Are the same items essential (except for the study materials which are not needed) or would a person need something different entirely?

I want to cover my garage floor. What's the best product to use. I dont want to pay out the nose, but I do want it to look good and last. Both of my cars are in good shape meaning there's no oil leaks. Not at this time anyways.
