I love the design of Milly's bedroom in the movie "Because I Said So". Does anyone know where to find furniture and home accents similiar to the designs in the movie?

The tiles are mosaic travertine, marble tiles. They are about 3 inches square and come in 12 inch squares. We have about 4m square to tile in total and have a good quote for all materials already. There is limited cutting around sockets etc. We've been quoted £300 which includes grouting and sealing but I think that's a bit excessive. We live in Sheffield, so don't expect London prices!

I always see these Designed to Sell shows putting in granite countertops for less than $1000 because they were able to get remnants from a supplier. Anyone know where these remnant places are? I only have about 25 sq ft of countertops, so I'm hoping I could do it much cheaper than the Home Depot price.

She uses some kind of sticky material to lay out her quilt blocks. I have ask at several fabric stores and no one knows what I am talking about. She does a lot of cutting and pressing and just lays the blocks on this material then takes it to the sewing machine to sew. Just need to know the name of the sticky material and where to get it. Thanks

Right now I have carpet in the family room and living room. However my mom wants to replace the carpet with tiles. The walls in the rooms are white and the cabinets are apricot-colored. There's a chimney in the family room and the furniture in the living are reddish and dark brown. There are currently white tiles in the bathroom and kitchen. My grandma wants the tiles of the living room and family room to match with the bathroom and kitchen but I'm not sure if that's right. So first of all, are putting tiles in the family/living room acceptable or are tiles only for bathrooms and kitchens? And if it is acceptable, what color and type of flooring should I buy?

My dad is planning to install the tiles himself because we don't want to pay for the cost of labor. So what type of tiles would be easy to install? Should we install the tiles ourselves or should we hire someone. What's your suggestion?

Thanks.

How much do you think something like this would cost? I'm asking because I truly don't know. I have a living room that is 14 x 23'1. with a double window, wall, and then another double window. I'd like to divide the room into two rooms, the front one being a parlor type and the back one being a study with french doors. What's a reasonable price for this type of work?

Also, if just across the open foyer is a large open dining room - 14 x 17, will me dividing the room into a 14x 15 sitting room be assymetrical or something? I'd just like feedback before I get this done. TIA

I'll be using yellow and white baloons to make "daisies" to hang around the walls. I'm going to have a cupcakes instead of a cake with single daisies on top of the white icing. I'll have real daisies in little white vases on the tables. How can I incoroporate a sky blue in there? Don't want it to be too Yellow and White.

I want to create two different color scheme for winter and summer in my bedroom. If I choose cream-mocha/coffee color sceme for winter and light green and aqua for summer days what color should I choose for the walls so that it harmonizes with both settings. I don't want (to be honest,I can't afford) to change wall colors with seasons. The walls are of brick and cement not of woodboards,so I can't simply attach wall papers and there is labouring cost too. Its a mediun sized room with a king size bed with a side table. The room is well lit( though not sunkissed.
Thanks in advance.
