I would start with the bedding. Find something you love that you can afford, then use that as the jumping point for your wall color. If you or someone you know can sew, you could make your own bedding.
You need 3-4 colors to make a scheme work. If you want more than plain walls without having lots of colors, you can try several finishes. Check out http://www.hgtv.com for lots of great ideas on paint finishes.
Once you've painted, then you can accessorize.
For the white furniture, try shopping around at thrift stores and yard sales. Buy whatever appeals to you, then paint it white. That way you get a fun eclectic look that is pulled together by the same color.

You can pick a very light shade of pink so that it won't be too bright in the room. Also, if you like stripes and polka dots consider painting vertical stripes of different or the same width with the pink paint. Maybe do it just on one wall and do the rest just all pink. You may have to end up getting just a plain white or solid colored comforter so playing with the paint on the walls will make your room more fun.
As far as white furniture you could probably find wicker stuff at any goodwill or thrift store and paint it white if it isnt already.

I don't think pink would be too bright for a small room. Look at Benjamin Moore's paint chip colors: 2079-40 Springtime Bloom and 2078-70 Pink Peony. I have a decorating book that shows a picture using these 2 colors; the darker pink shade as an accent wall and the light pink on the other walls (they even carried the light pink to the ceiling). White and red accents would look fantastic with the pink scheme while also breaking up the pink. For example, a white bedspread with red pillows, red chair, white shelves and/or lamp, etc. Good luck!

Pink would be great!
But not bubblegum pink. You would get tired of that quickly.
Pick a nice bright pink (a soft fuchsia?) Don't worry, it won't make your room look smaller.
Don't furnish/accessorize in the same pink. Choose a contrasting colour. (red, pastel pink, orange, lime green)
For example a bright red bedspread with pastel pink and orange cushions/drapes.
If you can't find white furniture....paint it white. It's very easy.
It'll look great.

I hae the same coler furniture. I have cream walls a white ceiling. U should go with cream because it makes the room look more bigger and u can make the theme color of ur room anything. Don't go with lilalac cuz it makes the room smaller and u might not like the color in a year or 2

the best thing to do while picking out colors is to make sure the colors match your furniture, carpeting, and other things you have in your room.
