I have tried six different colors. I want a tealish color on one wall and a little lighter color on the other three. The room is a large rectangle with two dug out windows in the far corner. The only other lighting is from two ceiling fans. The color I used looked blue/green on the sample. When I am upstairs it looks fine, downstairs it looks like a wedgwood blue and oh so dark. Even when I shine light on it and in the lightest part of the room it looks blue. The carpet is a dark grey. The results with the other colors were 1) sample with grey/green tone, looked completely gray (think prison cell) 2) sample with a mauve color, looked completely pink 3) sample with a darker mauve, looked completely purple 4) sample of a suede color, clashed with carpet, etc. I can't believe I am having this much trouble. How can I pick a color that will be okay? Please be specific, I obviously have color issues. Thank you.

...should I always call him and ask him to come rescue me becuase my feet got caught in the carpet fibers?

Do you think that if I knot my feet into the carpet very well that after enough times of him saving me that he will replace it with a carpet that doesn't have such a high pile?

Last summer I bought a brand new house and the builder left all of the walls white for me to paint myself. So, this Summer my goal is to paint my whole house. I was wondering if I should go with a neutral color throughout the whole house or should I go with a different color in each of the rooms. Someone please help! P.S I don't want my house looking like a rainbow!

My bed has to stay on the wall it is on because of the paint job. I have been thinking of moving my desk to the side that my bed is on. Should I move my bed to the left towards the window. The problem with that is the window is centered, so it would end up that only the other end is the only part where you can see out of the window.

All these stores within 20 miles of each other: The Blue Snickel ,
The Tweed Weasle, The Plaid Pig, The Country Crow, The Old Country Porch
and Valley View Country Store. All of these stores are pretty new too. Ever heard of any of them?

We have a historic home, with wood floors and crown moulding. We have pretty much all pottery barn furniture (www.potterybarn.com). I have a big old black desk with shaker style legs. It isn't the kind with drawers that go to the floor - there are only 2 drawers right under the top. Anyways, I want to put it in the kitchen that has a seperate nook w/ window and place a loveseat behind it and some chairs. Can I do it without being cheesy?

I did forget to prime the baseboard. It was aqua latex.enamel. But by now I should be getting better coverage with the white Behr latex enamel paint.
