I am staining and finishing oak doors for the first time. I used a gel stain for color and then I have applied 3 coats of Varathane polyurethane with a satin finish. I prep sanded the wood using 80 grit and worked up to 220 grit. I wiped the wood surface with a damp rag to raise the grain and hit it with the 220 sand paper again after it dried before staining. I used a tack cloth before the stain and first coat of poly, and roughed the poly in between coats with 000 steel wool and cleaned with a tack cloth before I applied the next coat with a proper brush. Now that I have applied the final coat, how do I remove the imperfections from the top coat of poly it, or is it even possible? To the eye, the flaws are invisible, but when you run your hand over the surface you can feel what can be described as "grains of sand" every so often. I was just wondering if you could achieve that "perfectly smooth" topcoat without hurting the satin finish or am I asking for too much?

Doesn't it look rare and exotic? You would be lucky to even see one of these in person! The few that are left are being held by people who could not bear to part with them!

Hardwood floors, 4 windows. walls are newlypainted a burnt orange [.not bright but deeper, very rich looking ]with soft peach trim. 2 inlade cabinets on each side of entryway wall into kitchen. The cabinets are newly painted and filled with sentimental dishes and precious moments. I know its hard without knowing my style, but I don't even know my style. I am new at this and drawing blanks. Anything? Even helpful websites. Not much as far as funds to make it really fancy. I just feel like it needs something .

I need three woven wood shades that are different sizes. I'd rather not pay to have custom ones made. I need an online store that carries a nice variety of woven wood shades in varying sizes. I've already checked ebay, jcpenney, and other obvious stores. Thanks!

I am looking to find a matching paint color to this "red" on a website like Behr or Sherwin Williams. I think I've been looking to long because I cant decide on the closest match. What do you think this color actually is?
