IF YOU'RE NOT CONCERNED ABOUT THE CHILLY FLOORS I DON'T KNOW WHY YOU COULDN'T DO WHATEVER YOU WANT!!! WHO CARES WHAT A STUPID BUYER THINKS? YOU LIVE THERE RIGHT NOW! I THINK IT'S A GREAT IDEA, IT'S YOUR HOME AND THERE'S NOTHING WITH BEING CREATIVE AND DIFFERENT! A FEW RUGS WOULD HELP WITH THAT ANYWAY. ANOTHER IDEA IS BEFORE YOU INSTALL A GRANITE FLOOR IS TO INSTALL UNDER THE FLOOR RADIANT HEATING. IT'S A SYSTEM OF HEATED PIPE SECURED ON THE FLOOR AND COVERED WITH SUB-FLOORING AND WOULD HELP WITH THE CHILLS. IT'S VERY POPULAR AND VERY FUNCTIONAL IN HOMES WITH LIMITED SPACE FOR FURNACES, ETC. THAT MIGHT BE TOO HIGH DOLLAR FOR WHAT YOU HAVE IN MIND BUT IT'S ANOTHER CHOICE. YOU WOULD HAVE TO PRICE IT IN YOUR AREA. I WOULD LOVE TO SEE IT!

Where could you possible use that in a bedroom? I used to have a really nice bedroom set that was light wood and the tops of all the dressers, etc were a rough unpolished marble. It was sooo pretty so maybe that way could work.
I looked at your question again and think you mean as flooring. Seeing as how people use regular tile in bedrooms you could use granite but I would not go with anything shiny.

In Europe, yes because they have the labor for it. In North America, we are gungho on wood. But yes I have seen it many times.
Color and style
- well its all up to your personal taste, some say its tacky, some say its luxury. Granite can be cut and sliced and mixed with other granites to create anything you can possibly think of.
Price
- Anywhere from 15$ a foot to 1000$ a foot depending on rarity of stone. Installation starts at 5$ to 40$ a foot on average.
Durability
- Done well, will outlast many generations and is very hard to damage.
Suggestion
- A nice cable heated floor would warm up the tiles making it less uncomfortable when you first wake up in the morning.
- When you install it, have it polished on site.

lol what a funny idea!
But, I have different taste and I believe that if you combine the right elements you can make ANYTHING work anywhere!
tile in a bedroom would set off a cold feeling, which is not nice for a bedroom!
It is hard, cold, and doesn't sooth or relax a person.
The only time I think granite tile should be used is on the mantle of a fireplace, or actually, it's hearth would be better.
If you used it on the floor it would have to be black or some other warm color with a big, soft, shaggy rug of a warm color or soft and warm multi-color pattern.

Granite tile is considered "cold". Most folks want their bedroom to be "warm", like wood flooring.

I saw it done on Flip That House and it was really a cold look. The bedroom should have a cozy feel. All the prospective buyers thought the same thing.

It has been done, but be aware that granite tiles when wet are very slipery on the floor!
