Get lucky bamboo or another easy to grow plant and put in on your desk. Find out where the water pipes are under your house and make sure your bed is not over them. (Sounds weird but works.) If you do have something in your house that is bad chi, getting some kind of hanging Chinese do dad (I forget exactly what) to hang from ceiling where problem is in room (or I guess from floor joists under house?). Do not place chairs or beds under ceiling beams. If your neighbor has some kind of bad chi pointing at your house, do something to reflect it. If your house is located where a street is coming straight at it (like end of dead end) then sell it and move. Bad luck to have stairs going upstairs close to front door, as good chi leaves. Mirror at top of stairs. Do not have a bathroom upstairs above a kitchen.

Feng Shui is so fun and neat. I suggest looking online for ideas. There are tonz out there! Also the library has many books on this practice. I know I've read a lot about it and love it myself.
Your house is set up into a square shape with 9 sections in it. Each section is a different direction and has a different symbol and meaning and will bring important elements into your life and home if you follow instructions correctly and well.
Each element is important to have in your home: fire, earth, water, etc. They each have their respective places, too.
Where you place your furniture, even your bed and working desk affect everything. The layout of your home is a big deal, so are the colors you use, even on your front door!
I suggest going to google.com and putting in fung shui and then clicking on the different links and seeing what you find. Some won't be very accurate and a lot just want to sell you stuff. Don't buy into this crap. A lot of it is mumbo jumbo. The most accurate sources I have found have been through published books written by Chinese people themselves. Go to the library for these. It's worth it and it's so fun!

Feng Shui is not simple. There are basic things one can do, but, it depends on where you want change - is it in your home, your office? Outside - inside? Try going on line and finding some of the basic tenants of it -
De-cluttering is one of the first things to do

analyzing those posts, i'm surprised human beings do no longer understand that Feng Shui has been around for hundreds of years! right that's a pair hassle-free ones: a million. There would desire to be no longer something below your mattress. 2. hold close a wind chime close on your front door that chimes once you open the door. 3. while beginning your front door, you mustn't have the means to work out out yet another door to the exterior. better of success on your new sanctuary!

there is really no such thing as a basic fengshui. fengshui is a collection of theories, each contains its own logic and system for calculation. like in a house, you can calculate your kua to decide which part to put the kitchen, bedroom, etc. further you can also calculate for the flying star of the house to know where is the good energy and the bad energy. so suppose you are an east person, meaning north, south, east and southeast are good to you and the rest are bad. but you still need to calculate where is the good energy. so you can put your bedroom where there it is good for your kua and has good energy. and reserve the bad for the toilet, hallways, stairs and storage rooms.
fengshui is not about decorations or arrangement of the furnitures inside the house. though, water features and rocks/ small mountain features are used to activate certain areas/ configurations, or some areas can be deadly if these things are not activated properly.

These are just a few things I did in my home. They say to keep home neat and in place. You'll want the good chi to have an even flow throughout your home. A mirror hanging right outside your door (facing out) to leave out all the negative chi that may enter your home. Place a fish tank soemwhere in your home, preferably where people can see it like in your living room.
